How we are regulated, how we handle personal data, what our work can and cannot be used for, and the terms that apply to this website.
Global Entity Research Pte Ltd (“GER”, “we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in Singapore (UEN 202342854H) and holds a private investigation agency licence under the Private Security Industry Act 2007 (Licence No. L/PS/001047/2025).
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Website content is general information about our services. It is not advice, an offer capable of acceptance or a guarantee of any outcome. Indicative fees and turnaround targets are for guidance only; binding terms are set out in a written proposal and engagement letter.
The GER name, logos, text, design and methodology descriptions are owned by or licensed to GER. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not copy, republish, frame, scrape or create derivative works from this site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting, introduce malware, probe or test for vulnerabilities outside our responsible-disclosure process, overload the site, or use automated tools to harvest content or contact details.
Links to external websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
To the extent permitted by law, GER is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on website content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the Singapore courts have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory law of your country provides otherwise.
Every engagement is governed by a signed engagement letter. The following principles apply to all engagements and are summarised here for transparency.
We accept engagements only for legitimate purposes such as customer and counterparty due diligence, investment and transaction diligence, third-party risk management, fraud and misconduct investigation, and litigation or asset-recovery support led by counsel.
We may terminate an engagement and withhold deliverables if we reasonably believe our work is being, or will be, misused.
This policy explains how GER collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data, in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and other applicable laws.
We rely on consent, contractual necessity, legal obligation or other bases permitted by the PDPA (including, where appropriate, the legitimate-interests and business-improvement exceptions following the required assessments). We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing messages without the consent required by law.
We disclose personal data only to our personnel and service providers who need it (for example hosting, secure storage and professional advisers), local partners engaged on a matter, and authorities where required by law. Service providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for legal, regulatory, contractual or limitation-period requirements, under a documented retention schedule. Data is then securely deleted or anonymised, subject to any legal hold.
We apply reasonable security arrangements including encryption, role-based and need-to-know access, client-matter isolation, audit logging and vendor due diligence. In the event of a notifiable data breach, we will assess and notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals as the PDPA requires.
Due diligence and investigations necessarily involve information about individuals — for example company directors, shareholders, beneficial owners and other people connected to a subject. We handle this information with particular care.
If you believe we hold personal data about you, you may contact our Data Protection Officer. We will respond as required by law, while respecting exceptions that protect investigations, legal privilege, confidentiality owed to clients and the rights of others.
Our work often involves more than one country. When we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we take appropriate steps to ensure the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, for example through contractual clauses.
Depending on where a subject is located or where we process data, other laws may also apply, including Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (as amended in 2024), Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022), Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), Vietnam’s Law on Personal Data Protection (Law No. 91/2025/QH15), the Philippines’ Data Privacy Act of 2012, and, where applicable, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations. Where these laws impose stricter requirements, we follow them for the processing they govern.
Subject to applicable law and its exceptions, you may:
Please send requests to our Data Protection Officer at dpo@globalentityresearch.com. We will verify your identity before responding and may charge a reasonable fee for access requests where the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore or the data protection authority in your country.
We use AI tools to help search, extract, translate and draft. AI output is always reviewed by our analysts, and every report is approved by a senior human reviewer before release. We use AI services only under reviewed contractual terms, limit inputs to what each task requires, and do not use AI to make automated decisions about individuals. Where AI assistance was used in preparing a report, the report methodology says so.

We will not take legal action against good-faith research conducted in line with this policy and applicable law.
